Dr. Nuha Abdurahman is an osteopathic physician specializing in integrative and preventive medicine with a passion for helping women achieve optimal health through a whole-person approach to care. Originally from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, her interest in the healing power of nutrition and lifestyle medicine began early in life, influenced by both traditional wellness practices and her academic training in Health Sciences at Ithaca College in New York. Growing up, she witnessed the use of herbs, spices, and food as medicine - an experience that continues to inform her deep appreciation for the connection between culture, nutrition, and health.

She earned her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she embraced the osteopathic philosophy of treating the whole person - mind, body, and spirit - while emphasizing prevention, lifestyle optimization, and the body's innate capacity for healing. Dr. Abdurahman then completed the prestigious Integrative Medicine Fellowship through the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona, one of the nation's leading programs in evidence-based integrative medicine, deepening her expertise in nutrition, lifestyle medicine, stress management, mind-body practices, and the thoughtful integration of conventional and complementary therapies.

Throughout her career, Dr. Abdurahman has cared for diverse patient populations in both community and hospital settings - including rural communities in New Jersey and a large tertiary care hospital in Northern Virginia. These experiences reinforced her commitment to disease prevention and early intervention after witnessing the growing burden of chronic illnesses such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer, and autoimmune conditions.

Today, she combines the best of conventional medicine with evidence-based integrative therapies to help women address the root causes of illness, optimize hormonal and metabolic health, improve resilience, and cultivate long-term wellness. She believes that healing occurs through a partnership between physician and patient, with a focus on personalized care, education, and sustainable lifestyle change.

"Her mission is to empower women to thrive at every stage of life through compassionate, comprehensive, and scientifically grounded care."
